Grant Scheme for the Creation, Modernisation and Digital Upgrading of Processing and/or Marketing Units of Agricultural Products 2nd Call for Proposals

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry has announced (March 2024) a Grant Scheme titled “Grant Scheme for the Creation, Modernization, and Digital Upgrading of Processing or/and Trading Units of Agricultural Products”.

Beneficiaries of the financial support of the Scheme are new or existing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the Creation, Modernization, and Digital Upgrading of Processing or/and Trading Units of Agricultural Products.

Trading of fruits and vegetables, including packaging, standardization, sorting, preservation, cooling, and storage of fruits and vegetables (including potatoes) are included in the eligible activities for funding.

The sponsorship amount, regardless of the State Aid regime chosen, is set at 40% of eligible expenses with a maximum sponsorship amount of €40,000. In cases of businesses established or to be established in mountainous and disadvantaged areas, as defined in Annex IX, the sponsorship amount will be 50% of eligible expenses with a maximum sponsorship amount of €50,000.
