Declare your interest above and we&#8217;ll guide you through the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 0.85em;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>A 35-hour HRDA-approved training programme<\/strong> that prepares employees to take on the role of Internal Services for Protection and Prevention (ISPS \/ \u0395\u03a3\u03a5\u03a0\u03a0) within their organisation, in full compliance with Cyprus occupational safety and health legislation.<\/p>\n<h3>Two ways to take this course<\/h3>\n<p>We deliver this programme in whichever format suits you best:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Multi-company programme<\/strong> \u2014 join a scheduled session alongside participants from other organisations (see the upcoming session above). This format is approved by the HRDA, and eligible businesses may qualify for HRDA funding.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In-house, for your company<\/strong> \u2014 we run the programme exclusively for your own team, scheduled around your operations and tailored to your workplace and sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Why this training is required<\/h3>\n<p>Under Cyprus law, companies must train the individuals they appoint as ISPS. This obligation arises from regulations \u039a.\u0394.\u03a0 158\/2021, 237\/2021, 238\/2021, 239\/2021 and 240\/2021. Appointed individuals must understand these regulations so they can help develop and implement the workplace Occupational Safety and Health Management System. To meet this requirement, they must complete a 35-hour programme as specified by Regulation \u039a.\u0394.\u03a0 238\/2021.<\/p>\n<h3>Who should attend<\/h3>\n<p>The programme is designed for anyone taking on a role within the Internal Services for Protection and Prevention, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employers or their representatives<\/li>\n<li>Safety and Health Officers and their deputies<\/li>\n<li>Safety and Health Representatives<\/li>\n<li>Members of the Safety and Health Committee<\/li>\n<li>Fire Protection, Firefighting and Evacuation Officers<\/li>\n<li>First Aid Officers<\/li>\n<li>The Chairperson of the Safety Committee<\/li>\n<li>Any other persons appointed by the employer as members of the ISPS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What you will be able to do<\/h3>\n<p>On completion, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help design and implement the company&#8217;s Occupational Safety and Health Management System in line with the law<\/li>\n<li>Recognise legislative requirements and relate them to company operations<\/li>\n<li>Apply the requirements of both new and existing safety and health regulations<\/li>\n<li>Carry out and update risk assessments<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement an Emergency Response Plan<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the Special Safety and Health File<\/li>\n<li>Identify and address safety and health non-conformities<\/li>\n<li>Analyse data used to measure the performance of the management system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Course structure<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme runs for 35 hours and can be delivered either through live distance learning on the Zoom platform or through in-person training at a suitable training venue. In both formats, the programme is based on active participation, discussion and the sharing of professional experience.<\/p>\n<p>Participants\u2019 progress is assessed through case-study exercises and knowledge tests. Attendance is recorded throughout the programme in accordance with HRDA requirements. For live distance learning, active participation with the camera on is required, while for in-person training, attendance is recorded in accordance with the applicable HRDA procedures.<\/p>\n<h3>Your trainers<\/h3>\n<p>Andreas Loizidis \u2014 an approved \u0395\u039e\u03a5\u03a0\u03a0 (External Services for Protection and Prevention) provider, authorised by the Chief Inspector of the Department of Labour Inspection to carry out occupational risk protection and prevention activities and to offer these services to employers and the self-employed. He is an approved Vocational Training Instructor (\u0395\u0395\u039a) of the HRDA. He has developed and implemented ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in numerous organisations across a range of sectors, and has delivered many training programmes on workplace safety and health, risk assessment and the practical application of Cyprus safety and health legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Christos Loizidis \u2014 an approved Vocational Training Instructor (\u0395\u0395\u039a) of the HRDA with extensive experience in occupational safety and health. He has developed and implemented Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems and ISO 45001 in a wide range of businesses across different sectors, and has delivered numerous training programmes on safety and health and management systems. His work focuses on turning legal safety and health requirements into practical, workable systems \u2014 risk assessments, procedures and records that organisations can apply in their day-to-day operations.<\/p>\n<h3>Certification<\/h3>\n<p>A Certificate of Attendance is awarded to participants who complete at least 75% of the programme.
