SUMMARY:Training of Employees for the Role of Internal Services for Protection and Prevention (ISPS) (ΕΣΥΠΠ)
DESCRIPTION:✅ Register Here\nThere is a requirement, in accordance with the applicable legislation, for companies to train individuals who will be appointed as ISPS (Internal Services for Protection and Prevention).\nThis obligation arises from the following regulations:\n\nΚ.Δ.Π 158/2021 (The Management of Safety and Health at Work Regulations of 2021)\nΚ.Δ.Π 237/2021 (Establishment of the Safety Committee)\nΚ.Δ.Π 238/2021 (Minimum Training Requirements in Safety and Health)\nΚ.Δ.Π 239/2021 (Determination of the Number of Safety Representatives)\nΚ.Δ.Π 240/2021 (Code of Practice for Consultation between the Employer and Employees on Safety and Health Matters)\n\nThe individuals who will be appointed as ISPS must be familiar with the provisions of the above regulations so that they can contribute to the development and implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in the workplace.\nFor this purpose, the employees of the companies who will be appointed as ISPS are required to attend a 35-hour training programme, as specified by Regulation Κ.Δ.Π. 238/2021.\nTraining Objectives\nUpon completion of the training, the trainees will be able to:\n\nContribute to the collective effort of designing and implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System within the company in accordance with the applicable legislation.\nRecognize the legislative requirements for Occupational Safety and Health and relate them to the company’s operations.\nApply the requirements of the regulations (both new and existing) concerning Occupational Safety and Health.\nConduct and update risk assessments in accordance with the requirements of the regulations.\nDevelop and implement an Emergency Response Plan.\nMaintain the Special Safety and Health File in accordance with the provisions of the regulations.\nIdentify and address non-conformities related to Occupational Safety and Health.\nPlan their actions effectively to facilitate the implementation of the system within the company.\nParticipate in the analysis of data used to measure the performance of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System.\n\nDescription of Candidates for Participation\nThe programme is addressed to individuals who will assume roles within the Internal Services for Protection and Prevention (ISPS), such as:\n\nEmployers or their representatives\nSafety and Health Officers\nDeputy Safety Officers\nSafety and Health Representatives\nDeputy Safety Officers/Assistants\nMembers of the Safety and Health Committee\nFire Protection, Firefighting, and Evacuation Officers\nFirst Aid Officers\nChairperson of the Safety Committee\nOther persons appointed by the employer as members of the ISPS\n\nThese participants are expected to contribute actively to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System within their organization.\nTrainer: Andreas Loizidis, Business Consultant, EXYPP\nMr. Andreas Loizidis is a Business Consultant and an approved ΕΞΥΠΠ (External Services for Protection and Prevention) provider by the Department of Labour Inspection for carrying out activities related to the protection and prevention of occupational risks and for offering these services to employers or self-employed individuals. He has successfully developed and implemented Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems in several organizations in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard. Furthermore, he is an approved Vocational Training Instructor (ΕΕΚ) by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA).\nTraining Method and Evaluation Techniques\nThe programme will be delivered through distance learning using the Zoom platform. A participation link will be provided upon confirmation of registration. The programme requires active participation from all attendees. This participation includes discussions and the sharing of professional experiences.\nParticipants’ progress will be evaluated by the trainer using various assessment methods, such as:\n\nCase study exercises\nKnowledge tests/quizzes\n\nThese evaluation techniques are designed to ensure that participants have effectively understood and can apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.\nParticipation Cost\n\nParticipation Fee: €800\nHRDA Subsidy: €640*\nCost for HRDA Beneficiaries: €160(Applicable to beneficiaries eligible for HRDA funding)\n\n* Condition for HRDA Subsidy:Eligibility for the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) subsidy is subject to the condition that the enterprise has not exceeded the de minimis aid ceiling during the current three-year period, in accordance with Article 3 of Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2831.\nCertificate of Training\n Upon completion of the programme, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who have successfully completed the training, provided that they have attended at least 75% of the total programme duration.\nParticipants’ attendance will also be electronically monitored through the Zoom platform.\nTraining Modules\n (In accordance with Regulation Κ.Δ.Π 238/2021)\n\nPrinciples of Occupational Safety and Health (Legislative Provisions, Regulations on the Management of Occupational Safety and Health Matters, Safety and Health Committees in the Workplace)\nRisk Assessment Process\nBasic Principles of Workplace Inspections\nMaintenance of the Safety and Health Record\nMinimum Requirements for Workplaces\nFire Safety (Measures for the Prevention of Fires and Explosions, Firefighting, etc.)\nEmergency Response and Action Plans – Safety Signage\nErgonomics – Musculoskeletal Disorders – Risks Associated with Manual Handling of Loads\nChemical and Biological Agents\nPhysical Agents (Noise, Exposure to Thermal Load, Vibrations, Radiation, Ventilation, Lighting, etc.)\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)\nDisplay Screen Equipment (DSE)\nPsychosocial Risks\nMechanical Hazards and Work Equipment (Machinery – Hand Tools – Maintenance – Pressure Equipment)\nElectrical Hazards\nSafety and Health in Construction Works and Working at Height\nMovement of Persons and Vehicles\nRisk Assessment / Case Study\n\nOther Information\nThis multi-company training programme has been approved by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA). Applications for participation in the training programmes must be submitted exclusively online through the “ΕΡΜΗΣ” web portal of the HRDA. To complete the process, both the company and each employee who will participate in the programme are required to register on the “ΕΡΜΗΣ” platform.\nIf you are already registered, you may proceed directly with the declaration of participation through the “ΕΡΜΗΣ” portal by selecting the category “Directorate for the Management of Safety and Health at the Workplace” and entering the HRDA programme number: 679641.\nIf you have not yet registered, please complete the participation declaration form and send it to us.
